Punch Release Notes

Below is detailed update information for each version of Punch.

Upgrades to the Punch app can be performed by visiting the Punch listing on the AppExchange. Install the upgrade in the same way you would install any other package from the Force.com AppExchange directory. Click the “Get It Now” button and follow the prompts as if you were installing the application. The AppExchange will detect the version you have installed and only install the new components. The first page of the install wizard lists the current version you have installed, the version you are about to install, and a list of additional components included in the new version.

1.6 – Shoryuken (Service Release 5) – February 19, 2014

  • Added “Duration (Hours)” field to help drive timesheet-style reporting on Punch records. Added 3 sample timesheet reports by user / day / week / month to the “Punch Reports” folder.

1.5 – Shoryuken (Service Release 4) – January 29, 2014

  • Corrected an issue that caused an error when a Chatter post was saved without any Body text. (A typical example was uploading an image from the Salesforce1 app.)

1.4 – Shoryuken (Service Release 3) – January 21, 2014

  • Corrected an issue in which the “End” value was not being set on a Punch record when a new Punch record was created.

  • Abbreviated the day of week component in the date to prevent text wrapping (“Wednesday” was the culprit).

  • Corrected an issue with duplicate Punch records being created when the “Punches Post to Chatter” checkbox was checked.

  • Corrected an issue in which an errant “null” string was being added to Punch statuses.

1.3 – Shoryuken (Service Release 2) – October 29, 2013

  • Corrected an issue in which an error message was received when attempting to punch in or out via a Post in Chatter Mobile.

1.2 – Shoryuken (Service Release 1) – October 11, 2013

  • Corrected a column-sorting issue on the Punchboard when trying to sort any view other than “Everyone”.
